FAQ

At what stage in my fertility journey should I book an appointment with you?

You can book an appointment with me at any stage of your fertility journey, whether you're just beginning to explore your options, undergoing fertility treatments, or seeking support and guidance tailored to your needs throughout the process.

How should I get started?

You can start by clicking on the green "Book Appointment" button on the website and choose to either start with a free introductory call or directly book a fertility nurse coaching session and/or join a support group.

What can you expect during your first appointment?

The first session is about getting to know YOU: gaining insights into your fertility history, experiences and specific needs and priorities you have regarding your fertility journey. As registered nurses are mandated to work within the scope of their professional practice, the initial and follow-up appointments also comprise of an evaluation of your physical and mental health.

How do you deliver sessions?

One-on-one coaching sessions can be done in-person or virtually. For virtual sessions, a video link will be sent prior to your appointment time via email. Support groups are virtual, however, if you subscribe to the email list, you will receive in-person support group invites, as well as fertility social events!

How are your support groups structured?

The structure of the support groups is tailored to accommodate the preferences of their members. Various support groups are offered in both English and French throughout the year to ensure continuity of care and maintain consistency within the groups. This continuity is key, as it fosters connections among members and allows them to support each other on their fertility journeys.

Depending on the preferences expressed by the group, we offer a variety of formats. Some groups are more informal and provide space for check-ins and open discussions. In these sessions, members have the opportunity to share their experiences and offer support in a relaxed setting.

On the other hand, some support group sessions are more structured for those who express an interest in delving into key themes or specific topics. This allows for more focused conversations and exploration of relevant content based on the interests of the participants.

Do you provide insurance receipts?

Yes, insurance receipts are provided for the nurse coaching services rendered. Please check with your insurance provider if your plan covers such costs.

How often do clients typically see you?

Frequency of appointments are client-specific and a recommendation will be suggested after the initial session.

What if I cannot find an appointment in a timely manner?

In the event that you would like an appointment sooner than the availability shown online, please email info@fertilitess.com to inquire about a fast-track appointment. If we can open an appointment at an earlier date/time, you will be notified. We try our best to accommodate requests for earlier appointments.

Can I continue to use your nurse coaching services once I get pregnant?

Absolutely! For all fertility clients we follow that get pregnant, we offer pregnancy support coaching, as the journey to parenthood doesn't end with conception; it continues through pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period. The process to book this type of appointment is the exact same: please book a one-on-one pregnancy support coaching appointment by simply booking a one-on-one in-person or virtual fertility nurse coaching appointment.
